The staff members at HB Financial Group not only have the knowledge and experience to help you pursue your financial goals, they also happen to be extremely great folks!

Harriett Barnes, AIF®

Senior Wealth Manager/Founding Principal

Harriett is the founder and principal of HB Financial Group and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry. Her unique ability to understand her clients values, dreams, goals, and objectives, as well as the complexities of their individual financial situations, allowed her to build a very successful practice where she helps clients with financial planning, wealth management, investments, estate planning, and insurance needs.

Harriett is an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®. She has her FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations, as well as her life, accident, long-term care and health insurance license. Harriett is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designee. The AIF® designation has been the mark of commitment to a standard of investment fiduciary excellence. A fiduciary is any investment professional or financial advisor who is required by law and practice to act in the interests of and with undivided loyalty to their clients. A fiduciary’s advice and recommendations must align with your specific objectives, time frame, and risk tolerance. When managing your assets, a fiduciary must strive for an optimal balance of risk and return. That person must exercise care, skill, diligence, and objectivity in evaluating, recommending, and reviewing investment options.

When not at work, Harriett enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, roller blading, kayaking, riding her bike, and gardening. One of her most memorable accomplishments was mentoring inner-city middle school students in a leadership program designed to promote teamwork and foster community service. The program allowed students to address the needs they saw in their community while providing support for them to test their ideas and have them become reality. After taking top place in two forums—one at AIC, the second at the John F. Kennedy Library—they were rewarded for their hard work with an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC, to visit their congressional delegation and tour the nations capital.
